Now this is just me thinking, but have you considered asking other sites to host your comic?
I can name one inparticular that may host you. It's probably a site you've already heard of, Fireball20xl.
They're the same site that hosts the comic GG-Guys which has been getting some noteriety over the months thanks to Joystiq, VG Cats and Little Kuriboh.
