Welcome Back, Son. by Razmere Welcome Back, Son. by Razmere
Alright I admit it. Now that I've seen the movie. I'm a fan of Astro Boy. When I saw how Dr. Tenma was trying to bring his son back to life. It hit me deep. It reminded me of my dad and how I know he would have done the same for me. This piece right here was inspired by the very first episode.

Listened to a LOT of Daft Punk while drawing this. I'm looking forward to DJ hero now.

Looks awesome - and is really sweet as well. I really loved the story between Astro and Tenma in the movie, moreso than the main story. Just so excellent when he comes to his senses and saves Astro from Stone. ^^

I like the look you gave Tenma - it's a cool mix of his 'movie' and 'anime' look.

Thanks. I'm glad you like it.

I also enjoyed the heck out of this movie. I'm a sucker for FATHER/SON stories and this one really hit me deep.

It can be interesting to compare the 1960s version, to the 1980s, to the 2000 and something version. The change in animation is great, but there still holds many similarities in the core design.
