A Rated R Batman/Superman Movie!?

Technically it will be a "Directors Cut" for the home video release, but it is still the DUMBEST THING YOU COULD DO WITH THESE CHARACTERS! 

This honestly feels like a last minute addition to ride on the coat tails of DEADPOOL (Haven't seen it yet, calm down) being an R-Rated Superhero movie that made a lot of money. 

"HEY! We can still make money if it's raged R! QUICK! TOSS IN MORE BLOOD AND SWEARING!"

"Why? Will it make the movie more mature and deep? Will it give us the chance to tell more complex stories that we wouldn't be able to tell with a PG-13 rating?"

"JUST DO IT!!!!" 

This feels like a twelve year old who has just learned how to swear and thinks it makes them look all "Mature and Cool!"

Here's the thing, the grim/gritty versions of these classic characters have their time and place in the limelight that is the comics. The "One Shots" the "Else World" stories and the like. The movies/tv shows need to keep things all age appropriate so KIDS NOW A DAYS CAN HAVE A STARTING POINT TO FALL IN LOVE WITH THESE CHARACTERS! Show of hands, be honest! Who here first fell in love with Batman and the Teen Titans because of the AMAZING animated series they had back in the day? Yeah both of those shows pushed the envelope on what was appropriate for kids, but they still kept it clean when tackling deeper issues. THAT is how you get die hard fans ten and twenty years later! Right now, all kids have to watch to get them hooked on DC Superheroes is SUPERGIRL (Which is amazing!) and TEEN TITANS GO! (Which is a fun but dumb parody of superheroes that's really hit/mis at times) (Also, I know FLASH/ARROW are big shows but I haven't watched them so I can't really judge them.) It feels like DC/WB is just closing the door on all the potential CUSTOMERS FOR LIFE they could snag by getting kids hooked on this.

DC, since you only seem to care about quick profits, I'll put this in terms you'll understand. I'm considering taking my business elsewhere.
