As most of you no doubt know, my all time FAVORITE Superhero Team is THE TEEN TITANS!!!! I've been a fan of the comics AND the old tv show (YES, I read the comics first, not that it matters, but in this era of hyper critical super nerds I guess I need to clarify and justify these meaningless details.) so I am naturally excited for a new show with the original voice cast all returning! Now a LOT of fans had some complaints about the new tone the show is now going for.
"OHMAGAWUD!!! THIS NU SHOW LOOKS LEIK SHEEEEET!!! IT'S ALL CHIBI AND LAME! AND THEY'RE TELLING JOKES!!! AND HAVING FUN!!!! THE OLD TITANS NEVER TOLD JOKES AND OR HAD ANY FUN EVER!!!! AND JUDGING FROM THE FEW CLIPS I HAVE SEEN OF THIS NEW SHOW, THEY WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER EVAR HAVE ANY MOMENTS OF DRAMA OR CHARACTER DEPTH IN LATER EPISODES OF THIS1!!! THEREFORE I HATE IT AND I HATE EVERYONE WHO MADE IT AND I HATE EVERYONE WHO MAY LIKE IT!!! AAAAAUUUGHHHHHHHHFUEHFDSNVFRGURIEHFNDSKJGFEYUWRBEWBVYUDSBFESAQ11!!!!1!!!11!!1!!1!1!11!!!1!!!11!!!111!!!!ONEGBJKGVIURHGSIHGSEBVIDSUGBBQ~!!"
Come on, if I hated EVERYTHING that didn't look amazing in the first minute and thirty seconds I saw of it then I would NEVER have fallen in love with Adventure Time, Princess Tutu, Berserk, Final Fantasy, Bravest Warriors, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, or even DOCTOR WHO! (Yeah, Doctor Who just looked "OKAY" to me at first glance.) So I sat down, watched the first episode, and kept an open mind and watched with eyes unclouded by hate.

I FREAKING LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!! So far in the first episode ALL the characters got a great moment to shine and tell a joke that honestly had me laughing out loud. The show also takes FULL advantage of the cartoony art style and uses it to deliver some fun, wacky and stylish fights! More so than the original series. Let's be honest, I think we ALL got tired of the "POSE WHILE THE BACKGROUND CHANGES COLOR" montages the series always seemed to toss at us. It's honestly refreshing to see a superhero cartoon that is FUN and FUNNY! You know, like the ORIGINAL COMIC BOOKS THEY'RE BASED ON!!! That being said, YES the comics AND the old show DID tackle some juicy drama. Some of which managed to tug a few of me old heartstrings. Will we NEVER see any of this in TTG? I don't know. Probably not. BUT WHO KNOWS! Go back and watch the first five episodes of ADVENTURE TIME and tell me you totally saw the "I Remember You" and "Simon and Marcy" episodes coming. MAYBE Teen Titans Go will surprise us with a dramatic episode. Or maybe it'll just stay silly slapstick. Either way I'm happy. Point is, we'll never find out if we bunch our undies up our bums and never give the show a chance.

MAYBE I'm still nauseous from the abysmal live action Titans trailer but this actually looks GOOD? Like, there is some potential here. Mystery solving detective work? Check. Crime fighting? CHECK. ACTUAL COSTUME? CHECK! Fingers crossed we get some good villains of the week episodes and I'll be a happy camper.
But that's just like, my opinion.

I never really watched the original titans. When it comes to DC, I grew up with the tone JLU set up, so I am more used to the "Gargoyle"-esque darkness. That's why I very much liked Young Justice. And also I know that I don't have time to watch the new teen titans. Heck, I normally don't have time to comment. But I digress.
